A city the size of a neighborhood
Edgewater is roughly a square mile of small lots pressed up against the west shore of Sloan's Lake, and it has its own city hall, police and civic calendar. Lots in Edgewater are narrow enough that a new build fills the buildable area completely, leaving the alley as the only realistic place for a unit. That constraint shapes nearly every Edgewater delivery we make, and it is worth settling before the truck is loaded.
Alleys that everyone depends on
Edgewater alleys are working infrastructure, carrying garage access, trash pickup and utility service for every house on the block. A unit set carelessly in an Edgewater alley will block a neighbor's garage within a day, so we put it hard against the fence line and leave the lane clear.
Some Edgewater alleys are gravel and narrow enough that a full-size truck is genuinely tight, and low utility drops make it worse. We ask which end an Edgewater driver should enter from, because backing up the length of a blocked alley is a poor use of everyone's morning.
Civic events and lakefront weather
Edgewater runs a compact but busy public calendar, with market days, civic events at the municipal complex and gatherings that spill toward the lake path. Those Edgewater bookings take deluxe flushing units at the entry, an ADA accessible unit in the cluster and handwashing stations beside the food.
Wind comes off the open water hard, and an unanchored unit on the Edgewater lakefront side will not stay put through an afternoon storm. Hail and heavy wet snow both land here with force, so Edgewater roofing work arrives in bursts and we keep stock back for it.
